Promoters
Satyanarayanji Agrawal – Chairman
Born in 1944, Satyanarayanji Agrawal is well-versed with the tricks of the trade. Being the grandson of Bhagchandji Agrawal, the renowned business tycoon of Vidarbha, he has imbibed the sharp business acumen and ethics from his grandfather.
His rich experience spans 50+ years, where he has successfully managed the cotton business and groundnut oil mills business for 20+ years. Apart from gaining a vast knowledge about raw peanuts, he also launched his first oil mill in 1968 in Dhamangaon.
Having completed his engineering from VRCE Nagpur in 1966, Satyanarayanji Agrawal today is completely engrossed in his current business and spearheads the operations, finance, legal and production teams.
Rahul Agrawal – Director
Rahul Agrawal, son of Satyanarayanji Agrawal was born in 1971 and successfully carried forward the mantle of his family business. Being involved in the business since 1992, Rahul has not only carved a name for Jabsons in India but has also taken it to international markets.
Having a keen interest in marketing and innovation, he recognised the need for hygienic manufacturing and packaging. This led to the inception of the ‘Traditional Salted – Roasted Peanuts’ of Bharuch in 1992. Heading the Marketing, Quality and New Product Development departments, Rahul is creating new avenues of growth through continuous R&D and innovation.
An Electronics Engineer, Rahul envisages making Jabsons the talk of the town whilst bringing Bharuch on the global map.
Rashmi Agrawal – Director
Hailing from a prominent business family, Alankar Jewellers, Rashmi has strong business acumen.
Since 2000, her involvement in the business has given a new perspective and direction to the brand. Rashmi has been at the forefront of developing new products and maintaining the taste profile of Jabsons products.
An M.A in Economics from Bhopal University, Rashmi heads new product development, benchmarking and product tasting.
1906 - The Beginning
Jairamdas Bhagchand firm was formed in Vidarbha by the famous business tycoon, Bhagchandji Agrawal for the cotton ginning pressing and edible oil mills business.
1940 - 1980 (New Heights)
The business was taken to new heights by the five grandsons of Bhagchandji Agrawal and the firm became famous as cotton kings of Vidarbha.
During the above period the youngest grandson, Satyanarayanji Agrawal relocated to Bharuch in Gujarat and established cottonseed and groundnut crushing plants in 1972.
1985 - Bad Luck
The entire family business crashed due to nationalisation of textile mills.
1992 - The Crunchy Twist
This was when the journey of Jabsons began. Travelling in a 2nd class compartment of a local train, Rahul Agrawal (son of Satyanarayanji Agrawal) was watching ferrywalas selling peanuts (the famous Bharuchi Khari Sing) in paper cones. He realised that the Bharuchi peanuts were highly sought after by Indians across the world. But the popular peanuts were neither prepared hygienically nor packed properly and were not sold in a network.
1998 - Growing
It was the first breakthrough. Impressed with our extraordinary quality, Indian Airlines placed their first order with us.
2000 - International Order
We were the first in India to introduce vacuum packaging of peanuts and a wide range of flavoured peanuts.
2005 - Our Ambitious Journey
Our innovative flagship flavours, Hing Jeera and Black Pepper, started getting wide recognition in the North Indian market.
Evolving with time became our second nature, and we successfully introduced an impressive array of innovative roasted peanuts and chana (chickpeas) flavours chikki in India and abroad. Moving ahead, we expanded our portfolio with various healthy snack items to suit the palette of our target audience.
2010 - Namkeen and Sweet plant
On getting a very warm response and success in the Peanuts, Chanas and Chikkis range for 15 years, the Company established a modern Plant for the conventional Indian Namkeens (Savouries) and Sweets.
2018 - Peanut Plant
Fully automatic new plant of Roasted Peanuts was established
2021 - Chikki Plant
Fully automatic new Chikki plant was established.
